USGA WHILE WE'RE YOUNG - CLINT EASTWOOD
Video courtesty of the United States Golf Association "While We're Young" campaign.
We all know an indecisive player, but do we understand just how much they slow up the pace of play?
Each time a player reaches their ball without prior planning for their shot, it slows down the pace of play. If one shot per hole is not preplanned, as much as 30 seconds can we wasted. One shot delay each hole equals a 9 minute delay in the round per player. In an indecisive four ball, that's over half an hour lost.
Think about your next shot as you walk down the fairway and be prepared to play when it is your turn. Every 30 seconds saved, helps the whole field move nicely and would mean no round should be more than 4 hours 20 minutes.
